A roadtrip from Eindhoven to Copenhagen
Road to Copenhagen

This year the Tour de France has it’s Grand Depart in the danish capital and we took the challenge to ride from our headquarter in Eindhoven to the new flagship store of Pas Normal Studios in Copenhagen. Together with Oskar Oatbar these two cycling passionated brands supported our riders with high performance cycling clothing and natural nutrition bars.

Our Depart and Route

The depart of our roadtrip was Sunday the 26th of June, a few days until the Tour de France will kick off with a city time trial in Copenhagen. Within five days the group challenged over 870 kilometers through different landscapes. Hills, ramps and rolling flat stages with head- and sidewind.

After leaving Eindhoven in north Brabant, we rode along the dutch channels and rivers towards the german border. A welcome break to shake off the first kilometers, was the ferry which took us over the Maas river, the biggest river in the Netherlands. These kind of transportation is very common in the Netherlands, due the water roads.

About the first hilly days

Before reaching the finish of the first stage, the group had to push the pedals a bit harder compared to the first part in the Netherlands. Several small ramps waited for the group. It felt a bit like the spring classics. The city of Billerbeck, a small beautiful city in the Baumberge was the first “Arrivée” on our trip.

The second stage took us along the city of Münster towards the Teutoburger Wald. A very hilly area in the Tecklenburger Land is waiting for the riders to pass by. Great climbs with many turns through a great forrest with views into the country.

For the 870 kilometers long roadtrip, the riders were equipped with our Race Series wheels and tubeless tires. A tubeless tire allows a lower tire pressure, which results in more comfort, but also the advantage in case of a puncture was a benefit.
We had no technical issue, no single puncture.

With Sebastian and fresh Oatbars into the last days

In the morning of stage four, our brand ambassador Sebastian joined the group together with Gabriel Weber, the founder of the great nutrition brand Oskar Oatbar. Both guys are Hamburg residents and know the area and landscape for the next days pretty well.

Passing Hamburg and off to the coastline

After the first stages are in the books, we headed into the beautiful countryside north east of the hanseatic city of Hamburg. The landscape is not as flat as someone would imagine. Quiet roads leading into countless small ups and downs. This green landscape really got us!

The route took us the way up north from Hamburg towards the Plöner See, followed on stage four towards Puttgarden on the island Fehmarn. The last stop on german ground.

Recharging in the green countryside

After the previous stages with mixed weather from sun to rain, from no wind to tough headwinds, the group rewarded themselves with a bib dip in the Lütjensee on the end of stage three. A very welcome chance to recharge the batteries for the final kilometers ahead. Lütjensee is a small village in the green and quiet country of Schleswig-Holstein.

Last Stage: Off to Denmark

In the very early morning we set off for the ferry from Puttgarden to Rødbyhavn. It’s time to leave Germany behind and start into the final stage. Our destination: Copenhagen!

Our friends of Pas Normal Studios await the riders in the danish harbour and will accompany them with their van through the danish countryside into the capital of Denmark.

We made it!

Exhausted, but happy! After over 870 kilometers and five stages, our group made it to the new headquarter of Pas Normal Studios. The group showed a remarkable team work and great mood from Eindhoven, all the way to Copenhagen.
